I’m Going to Earl’s Court

I’m Going to Earl’s Court
by Mr. Lucas Brice

Come tomorrow
I’m going to
go to Earl’s Court
just to wander.
I like to look
at the tourists.
That’s what I will do.

On Earl’s Court Road there’s a
cashpoint machine,
and a place you can
get a burger,
Or you can eat
at Nando’s,
That’s where I will go.

See the people who
all walk so quickly,
if you stop, they will
bump into you.
They move so fast
it’s like a blur,
Still, I will go there.

See me walking and
trying to cross the street.
I’ve been trying to
cross for ages.
This world is so
upside down but
I’ll go to Earl’s Court.
